Each year our team at SingerLewak works over the
Summer to compile financial benchmarking for our Construction Industry client
base, located primarily in Southern California. The database incorporates data from several dozen contractors. We use that information to create summary reports providing an overview of the construction
financial climate in our region.
The 2010 financial information compiled for these reports includes balance sheets, income statements and backlog data as well as calculating
and presenting several metrics from this information. The resulting data is of interest on many levels and for many
groups of people within our industry.
That being said, it is only for top level analysis and is intended to
foster discussion within management teams. It is not intended to
be used for any credit decisions or anything of that nature. There are
many interesting data points and trends to be noted within these reports. I will not delve into an analysis of the
information. Instead I will share it
here and be available, as always, for any discussion, questions and/or comments you may
have. We break down our data by General Contractor and Subcontractor and within each of those categories various
revenue level breakpoints. We're proud to share this information and hope you find value in it…click on the links in the preceding sentence to access.
